Students whose highest qualification is a baccalaureate degree equivalent to that given by the Institute are eligible to seek admission to work toward the master’s degree. Caltech does not have a minimum GPA requirement. However, most successful applicants have a US GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and/or are in the top 5 to 10% of their class.To be eligible for the MS in Aeronautics at Caltech's GALCIT, applicants must hold a bachelor's degree equivalent to Caltech's, with a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and engineering science. While there's no specified minimum GPA, competitive candidates typically have a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The program is open to students from aerospace, mechanical, civil, or related engineering backgrounds. The GRE is optional but can strengthen your application if submitted. Note that the program is primarily research-focused, with preference given to applicants intending to pursue a Ph.D.
