Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related STEM field.
For non-engineering grads: Required undergrad prerequisites (1 sem Chemistry, 2 sem Calculus, 1 sem Differential Equations, 2 sem Physics, 1 sem Biology/Science, 1 sem Probability/Linear Algebra, 1 sem Programming).
Additionally, need to complete 4 engineering make‑up courses (Statics, Soil Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Project Management/Construction) during the first fall semester(s).
GPA: Strong academic performance expected — Indian GPA should be converted to a 4.0 scale. CMU looks for GPA typically above 3.0/4.0, though higher is preferred.
