Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science, medical laboratory science, life sciences, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
The degree should have included studies in areas such as biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology, microbiology, and human anatomy/physiology.
A GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (equivalent to ~60–65% in Indian grading) is generally expected for competitive entry. Students with slightly lower marks may still be considered if they have relevant professional or research experience.
