Academic Eligibility: A four-year B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics, Astrophysics, Theoretical Physics, Mathematics/Applied Mathematics or a very closely-related engineering subject with at least a Second-Class Honours, Grade 1 (2:1 / H2.1). For most Indian universities this works out to roughly ≥ 60 % or a CGPA of 6.5/10 (≈ 3.0/4.0). Subject prerequisites: Your undergraduate transcript should show solid coverage of core classical & modern physics (mechanics, E&M, relativity), vector calculus, linear algebra and differential equations, plus evidence of some computational or numerical methods courses/projects.
