Admission to New York University is selective and competitive and is based on a holistic review of application materials. Degrees in STEM, Business, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Computer Science are strongly preferred. A strong academic background in quantitative subjects is essential. Prior coursework or professional experience in mathematics, statistics, data analysis, or programming is highly recommended. While no minimum GPA is explicitly required, competitive applicants typically have a GPA of 3.3 to 3.7 on a 4.0 scale (equivalent to approximately 75–90% in Indian grading systems). NYU Stern does not accept IELTS or Duolingo scores for this program.
