Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field: strong preference for backgrounds in electrical, mechanical, computer engineering, computer science, or closely related disciplines.
Minimum GPA: recommended 3.0 out of 4.0 (approx. 8.0/10 or 80/100). Northeastern does not set a strict cutoff, but admitted students often have GPAs of 4.2+.Prerequisites: Solid foundation in programming (C/Python/Java), control systems, sensors & actuators, robotics or AI courses, plus math (linear algebra, calculus, probability/statistics).
Experience/research: Prior academic or project experience in robotics, AI/ML, embedded systems, vision/control systems is viewed favorably.
