Admission to Northwestern University is selective and competitive and is based on a holistic review of application materials. Superior students who hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in environmental engineering, civil engineering, or chemical engineering are eligible for admission to the graduate program without remedial coursework. NOTE: The Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering will not require nor use GRE exam results for 2024 PhD & MS admission
