Bachelor’s Degree / Academic Background: Must have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited university. There is no strict requirement for a particular undergraduate major (e.g. engineering, commerce, science), but having quantitative ability helps (courses involving maths, statistics etc). Most admitted students have strong academic backgrounds. NYU uses a US-style cumulative GPA out of 4.0. While NYU Stern does not publicly state a strict minimum GPA requirement, competitive admitted students tend to have a GPA around 3.5 / 4.0 or higher.
