Target background: Bachelor's in engineering or science disciplines (e.g., Petroleum, Mining, Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Materials, Physics, Geosciences).
Undergraduate GPA: Minimum 3.00 out of 4.0 in junior/senior years. Exceptions may be made for exceptional applicants.
Must have foundational courses in math, basic engineering, and science – usually met by core undergraduate curricula.
Graduate core requirement includes at least 6 credits (two courses) from:
EME 501 (Design under Uncertainty)
EME 511 (Interfacial systems)
EME 521 (Mathematical modeling)
EME 531 (Thermodynamics)
EME 551 (Safety & environmental risks).
Thesis (paper-based) or non-thesis (course-based) tracks available.
