Academic Requirements
A relevant engineering or science bachelor’s degree is required (e.g. Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Science, Physics). Minimum GPA: 3.0 out of 4.0; applicants with lower GPA may be considered under conditions. Subject Prerequisites: Strong foundation in Calculus I, II, III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra is expected. Coursework in Physics (Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism). Core Mechanical Engineering subjects including Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics and Heat Transfer. Programming skills in tools like MATLAB, Python or C are helpful. For students from non‑engineering backgrounds, demonstrating equivalent preparation may help. The program requires completion of 30 graduate credit hours, including thesis or non‑thesis tracks
