Eligibility & GPA: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, chemistry, or related scientific field.
Minimum recommended GPA: 3.2 out of 4.0.
Subject Prerequisites: Strong foundation in mathematics (calculus, linear algebra, differential equations), plus core mechanical engineering subjects (fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, solid mechanics).
For non-thesis track (course‑based): 30 credit hours (≈ 10 courses) including at least 6 credit hours of Math (3 credits must be from the Math department).
For thesis track: 21 credit hours coursework + 9 credit hours research, including the same Math requirements.
