To be eligible for the MS in Computer Science at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is generally expected; however, candidates with a lower GPA may still be considered. Strong foundational knowledge in areas such as programming, data structures, algorithms, and systems is essential. If certain prerequisites are lacking, bridge courses may be assigned, which must be completed with a grade of B (3.0) or higher.
