Bachelor’s degree: Required in Engineering, Physics, or a closely related science field. Must be equivalent to a U.S. BS (3‑year Indian BSc needs a subsequent MS—not acceptable alone).
GPA: No strict minimum, but successful applicants usually rank in the top of their class. For reference, report GPA out of 4.0.
Prerequisite coursework: Strong foundation in calculus (through ODEs), programming, and core engineering subjects (e.g. ME 100‑level); non-engineering majors need at least two core ME courses.
