Applicants should demonstrate strong academic preparation in core areas: Mathematics (Calculus I–III), Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, plus foundational courses in Statics/Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, and programming or analysis tools. Participation in undergraduate research or strong project work is an advantage.
At least three letters of recommendation, evidence of faculty alignment for research, and possible professional experience or publications strengthen your application.
