Academic qualification: A recognised Honours Bachelor’s degree equivalent to Irish upper second‑class (2.1), or a GPA around 3.3/4 .0, in Science or social‑science backgrounds such as Engineering, Sociology, Computer Science, Economics, Geography, or other related fields.
Relevant background and prerequisites: Candidates from interdisciplinary fields are welcome. Some optional modules may require specific prior coursework (e.g. coding skills for Urban Computing, Machine Learning). Entry can be competitive, and shortlisted applicants may be interviewed or asked to submit a written sample. In exceptional cases, professional experience may be considered as an alternative to formal qualifications.
