You should hold a four‑year bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 from your undergraduate degree is required; UB accepts all accredited Indian 3‑year degrees if from recognized institutions.
Subject Prerequisites: Strong foundation in core mechanical engineering subjects: dynamics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, solid mechanics, materials science.
Background in mathematics, including Calculus I–III, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra.
Proficiency in programming tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python, C/C++) is helpful.
Previous coursework or lab exposure in heat transfer and control systems is recommended.
At least 21 of the 30 graduate credits must be from the Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE)
