Required degree: A BDS (Hons) from the National University of Ireland or an equivalent dental degree from a recognised university. Health‑care professionals such as medical doctors or nurses with relevant experience may also be considered. Minimum GPA: Equivalent to an Irish honours degree (typically at least a second-class honours, upper division). Indian students should aim for ≥ 60 per cent aggregate in BDS (with strong clinical and public health performance). Subject prerequisites: Core dental training in oral epidemiology, preventive dentistry, community dental health, public health research methods, plus clinical or health‑care experience. A personal statement (ca. 500 words) demonstrating suitability is usually required.
