A Second Class Honours Grade II (2H2) in a relevant bachelor’s degree — typically ~ 55–60% in India or a CGPA of around 3.0–3.2/4.0 is expected. The degree must cover mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, materials, and core mechanical engineering fundamentals.
Indian First Division (≥60%) often translates to Irish 2H1, but UCC specifies 2H2 minimum. Exceptional candidates with slightly lower percentages may be considered if the transcript shows strong core engineering subjects and professional experience.
