Bachelor’s degree background: At least a Second-Class Honours Grade I (2H1, NFQ Level 8) in Computer Science or closely related field. Equivalently: 66–74% (first division at 60% India), or Minimum CGPA 3.2/4.0 or 7.5/10.0.
Indian grading context: A 2H1 in Indian first‑division context equals 66–74% (or 70–79% if first division at 65%) → CGPA ~3.2/4.0 or 7.5/10.0. UCC prefers 75%+ (or GPA 3.7/4.0 ≈ 8.5/10.0) for first-class equivalence in some cases.
Applicants with no formal programming background can still apply; the school has students without programming experience and it is not a disadvantage.
