Applicants need at least a Second Class Honours Grade II (2.2) equivalent in Mathematical Sciences or another highly numerate subject (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science). Indian CGPA of around 6.5–7.0/10 or 60–65% overall (Second Class Honours II) is considered comparable to 2.2 honours, but higher is preferred. Engineering or Physics graduates are also eligible if they can show university‑level coursework in linear algebra, multivariate calculus, ODEs, probability/statistics, and programming. All applicants are subject to final approval by the Course Coordinator.
