A recognised Bachelor’s degree (NQF Level 8) with good honours (generally ≥ 60–65 % or equivalent GPA ~3.0+). A relevant academic background such as: Medicine, nursing, allied health professions, pharmacy. Health-related social sciences. IT/computer science or engineering with strong interest in healthcare systems. A solid foundation in statistics/data analysis and ICT skills, especially for candidates from a non-health background. Prerequisites include exposure to healthcare systems, basic programming or database concepts, and analytical/statistical coursework.
