Admission to University of California, San Diego is selective and competitive and is based on a holistic review of application materials. A bachelor’s degree in any discipline—STEM, commerce, economics, engineering, computer science, etc.—is acceptable. A 3-year Indian degree is considered equivalent for admission.
GPA Requirement: Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 on the U.S. scale.

Must have completed calculus and probability/statistics coursework.
Demonstrated programming proficiency (in Python, R, SQL, Java, or C/C++) through coursework, certifications, or work experience.
