You need a 2:1 honours degree (H2.1) on the Irish NFQ scale (Level 8) or its international equivalent—roughly 65 %+ or CGPA ≈ 7.0+/10 for Indian students. Your undergraduate background should include intermediate‑level Economics (typically micro and macro in 2nd/3rd year). Applicants with a strong H2.2 (≈60–65 %) but averaging ≥ 2:1 in core economics modules within a Business/Economics degree may also be considered. In addition, graduates from Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Technology are welcome—as long as they demonstrate suitable economics exposure, preferably via modules or experience, and highlight relevance in their statement (e.g. internships, projects).
