The University of Houston offers two Master of Architecture (M.Arch) pathways: the M.Arch +3 (3 years, 99 credits) for students with a non-architecture bachelor’s degree, and the M.Arch +2 (2 years, 60 credits) for those with a pre-professional degree in architecture or environmental design. Applicants should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0, and while the GRE is optional, it is recommended for a stronger application. A portfolio is required for M.Arch +2 and optional (but encouraged) for M.Arch +3. Basic knowledge in Physics, Calculus, and Creative Arts is recommended for M.Arch +3 applicants.
