Bachelor’s background: Required – B.Tech in Mech.Engg or closely related (e.g. other engineering branches, physics, maths) from a recognised university.
Undergrad GPA: Minimum 3.25/4.0 for the last 2 years (approx. 8 semesters).
If already holding a Master’s, that must have ≥ 3.5/4.0
Thesis track: 24 credit‑hours coursework + 8 credit‑hours thesis research (ME 599)
Non‑thesis track: 32 credit‑hours coursework + 4 credit‑hours independent project .
Coursework includes a mix of ME, TAM, engineering, math & physics at 400/500‑level
