Required degree: Level 8 honours degree (2:2 minimum) in Civil Engineering or a closely related field such as structural, geotechnical, environmental or transport engineering.
For Indian grading equivalence: typically a ~55–60% or ~3.0–3.2 CGPA (on a 4.0 scale) qualifies; a 2.1 (higher second class) or equivalent ~60–65% / ~3.3–3.5 GPA is stronger if available.
Prior coursework in fundamental civil engineering subjects is essential: structural analysis/design, fluid mechanics, geotechnical fundamentals, materials, transport or water engineering.
