Academic Requirements
To be eligible for the Master of Science in Computer Science & Information Systems at the University of Michigan-Flint, applicants should hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, preferably in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field. A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 is recommended; however, applicants with lower GPAs may be considered based on other academic strengths. Candidates without a computer science background must complete foundational courses in Algorithms, Programming, and Data Structures through non-credit certificates or fast-track options.
