Path 2 (2 years, 61 credits): For U.S. B.Arch graduates.
Path 2.5 (2½ years, 78 credits): For applicants with a pre‑professional Landscape Architecture degree.
Path 3 (3 years, 97 credits): For those from non‑LA/design backgrounds.
A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 is expected for graduate admission across UVA architecture programs .
Design studio GPA isn’t formally required for MLA, but for direct‑admit students (UVA undergrads) a 3.3+ GPA and 3.5 in studios helps.
Applicants must hold a recognized bachelor’s degree (3‑year degrees accepted, but must equate to U.S. 4‑year via NACES evaluation)
Path 2.5 eligibility: Pre‑professional landscape or environmental design backgrounds, even from non‑accredited programs.
