To be eligible for the Master of Aerospace Engineering (MAE) program at the University of Washington Seattle, applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0. A bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering is preferred; however, degrees in other fields may be considered if the applicant has completed fundamental engineering and math coursework. Professional experience, while valued, cannot substitute for academic prerequisites. GRE scores are no longer considered in the admissions process. The program is designed for part-time study, with evening classes available both in-person and online, making it accessible for working professionals.
