A bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited institution is sufficient. No specific subject prerequisites (such as computer science, maths, etc.) are required – students from diverse academic backgrounds are welcome.
The UW Graduate School requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) based on your last 60 semester/90 quarter graded credits. Applicants with GPA below 3.0 may still apply, but should explain any academic irregularities via the Extenuating Circumstances section.
Indian 3‑year bachelor’s degrees do not meet UW’s 4‑year equivalency requirement. Such applicants must contact the school to request review or may need additional coursework.
