Academic Requirements
Admission to University of Wisconsin is selective and competitive and is based on a holistic review of application materials. BS degree in engineering or related area or equivalent Mathematical Statistics Course, Introduction to Theory and Methods of Mathematical Statistics II or Introduction to Industrial Statistics Introduction to Programming Course The Graduate School requires each student maintain a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 or greater for all graduate courses (excluding research). Many programs impose higher standards. The student is responsible for confirming GPA requirements with their program. When a graduate student’s cumulative GPA drops below 3.00, the student is placed on academic probation the following term and notified via email (with a copy to the graduate coordinator). The student will not be allowed to enroll in classes beyond the probationary term until such time final grades for the probationary term are reported, and the student’s cumulative GPA is 3.00 or greater. Courses taken as audit, credit/no credit, pass/fail, or satisfactory/unsatisfactory and those resulting in an incomplete grade are not calculated in the GPA. Note : GRE is not required.
