Bachelor’s degree: Must have a minimum of Upper Second Class Honours (2.1) in Psychology, from a recognized university. Your degree should qualify for graduate registration with the Psychological Society of Ireland or an equivalent body in India. GPA/Percentage equivalence: In Indian terms, this is usually 65–70% overall or a 3.3–3.5+ GPA (on 4.0 scale) in Psychology. Relevant background in neuroscience, clinical psychology, or allied areas (like cognitive science or biomedical sciences) can also strengthen an application. Subject prerequisites: Core knowledge in psychological assessment, neuropsychological theories, neuroscience and research methods. Modules include neuroanatomy, brain–behaviour relationships, rehabilitation psychology, neurodegenerative conditions and advanced research methodology. Clinical readiness: International students must undergo Garda Vetting, required for clinical observerships or shadowing placements (it may take up to 90 days).
